Information You Submit
A name, location, or other query entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Franklin County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard technical records may be created when a page loads. They can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- access timestamps.
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject cookies, though parts of the site may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
- operate and improve site speed;
- send search requests to the selected partner;
- understand which pages visitors find useful;
- detect and correct technical problems; and
- display advertising that may reflect user interests.
External Sites and Advertising
Links may lead to Franklin County release records, sheriff and TDCJ pages, government portals, or outside search tools. Once you follow a link, that operator's privacy terms apply.
Advertising partners may measure activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs through their systems and is governed by their policies.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to search partners that process a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, and law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to data under our control. No internet service is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Requests can be submitted through Contact Us.

This Privacy Notice may be revised. A new version becomes effective when posted here with its updated effective date.
